Subject : Re - William Turnbull

Hello Megan,
Lovely to hear from you. I am feeling quite excited as I you are the first Turnbull cousin from another branch that I have had contact with.

My name is GLENICE --BIERNAT now but was TURNBULL. My Great-grandfather was JOHN POTT TURNBULL who married ELIZA GRIFFIN(TH) at MARSHALL MOUNT near WOLLONGONG in 1864. They had three children on the South Coast, then moved to MARCH, near ORANGE in NSW and had 7 more children. Their 10th child was my Grandfather JOHN TURNBULL, born in 1883. He and his wife JANE GALE had 6 children .Their 4th child is my Dad, LACHLAN TURNBULL who is almost 88 years old and very fit with an excellent memory.

We still live on the family property "Brae-side" which was settled by JOHN POTT in 1870.

Our family and that of John Pott's older brother, ROBERT TURNBULL and his wife ELIZABETH WILSON ,were in contact many years ago. My Dad remembers several of his cousins, a FRANK TURNBULL and ANNIE TURNBULL visiting from Sydney in the 1940's. No one has had any contact since , though I have been researching very hard and trying to find a descendant.

My Family Tree on the "Genes " Site is very small as I haven't yet down loaded the entire Tree. I would be very happy to send you my "history " as a Word Document if you could give me an E-mail address. I find that reading the family history as a "book" format is a little bit easier.

Please feel free to look at the few details I have on my "Genes " Tree.I really must get one of my boys to add the rest of my Tree to the Site.
