In communication with Eric Bird [2014-04-27], his information confirms back to William Bird and Dorothia Fretter. My data is apparently erroneous in that there are two "fathers" for this William Bird - a Thomas Bird and a John Thomas Bird.

I am removing John Thomas Bird and his ancestors from my tree today - 2014-04-27. Refer to previous tree 2013-10-27 Tilley (Master) for John Thomas Bird info.
