Info from state records NSW

Christopher NOLAN came here as a convict in 1826 on the ship Phoenix III
He was tried in Trim in 1826
He was 23 years old
Sentenced to LIFE, he got a ticket of leave and a conditional pardon.
He got permission to marry a Mary EDWARDS in West Maitland who was aged 15 years and she came free (not a convict)
You can check ticket of leave on the SAG site if you want
I am sorry but I have never heard of Trim and it may be an abbreviation for some place
So the marriage in england is not the one you were after as they married in NSW
Whether the marriage actually took place you will need to check but I don't think it is listed on n.s.w. bdm
Sometimes they got permission to marry and didn't go through with it.
However obviously these two got together somehow as they had your Thomas in 1842 The permission to marry was in 1840 in West Maitland. So that ties in with his christening in the same place in 1842
Did you know that convict records are now on ancestry.com but you need to be a paid member to access the full information
You probably already know all about convicts by the sound of your previous message
This has made my day finding this as I was just about to give up when I had this last idea
Please reply to me at this address as I can't get back onto genforum

Conditional pardon (no date) number 34/1492 but it is not listed on the state records NSW site for conditional pardons. They are probably incomplete - maybe Ticket of Leave?
