Text:   It's obviously difficult splitting 17th and early 18th century residences between Kibworth Harcourt and Beauchamp and Smeeton Westerby especially as there was just St Wilfred's to cater for their needs.

That places Robert Tilley in Smeeton pre-1687 and we know that he died in 1705. I'm assuming it is one of his sons, Francis, who licenced his house for nonconformist meetings in 1724. That gives the impression that it wasn't a particularly small abode. I gather that there are Hearth Tax records of the 1680s lodged somewhere for Leicestershire. Before trying to identify their whereabouts, do you know what data was stored on them? Would it have given names as well as places? - ie this and other Tilley families?
