Hi Megan,
Thank you for the Pedigree Chart which is of extreme interest to me. Your Aunt is streets ahead of me and would probably have the following information, but I offer it anyhow.
James Anlezark’s father ‘Thomas Ainsworth Andlezack’ (born 1771), was convicted at Suffolk GD on 19 March 1801 and sentenced to life. Arrived as a convict on board Perseus Coramandel 13 June 1802.He later became free of servitude. ( Have information on him being promoted to corporal {with name change}[trooper] of a troop in 1806 and involved in the Great Vinegar Uprising). Thomas was around 31 years old when he arrived in Australia so it is possible he left a family behind in England.
James was a widower, and age 32-married Matilda Hawthorn 3/2/1838 aged 17 years (m). Matilda came free to Australia on board L. Liverpool in 1826, aged 7 Years with her sisters Florence (11years) and Julian K (5years).
Your Google cache Re: James Anlezark, b: 1806 - Liverpool, Australia shows 12 children born to James and Matilda, could we be missing a Charlotte borne 1840 and another Henrietta Auguster born 1844?
For what it’s worth, I note your Vertical Pedigree Chart shows a James Anlezark departing this world in 1774 whereas the IGI shows a date of 24 July 1772. Assuming it’s the same chap.
For your records, my Great Grandmother Selina Anlezark (b) 1853 and Robert Farrell from Donegal Ireland (born around 1856)were married on 7 May 1878 at Scots Church Sydney. This is my branch of the tree and I would be ever so grateful to link up with anyone researching the same limb.
My details are K Farrell 52 Berringar Rd Valentine 2280. Ph. (02)49468261.
Hope to be contacting you again soon, thanks and best regards. K.F.
